Splitting time between state capitals and the campaign trail, Howard Franklin has worked across two dozen states to advance the careers and policies of the South’s leading lawmakers.
After running a nonprofit for former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson, Howard served three years in the administration of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin. He then spent five years working with the DeKalb, Fulton and Jefferson County governments.
Howard also worked for Stacy Abrams when she served as House Minority Leader in the Georgia legislature. After working for Abrams, Howard began working at an Atlanta-based lobbying firm, before hanging his own shingle and founding Ohio River South.
Howard has been recognized as ‘Top 40 Under 40’ by Georgia Trend Magazine and The Network Journal. He is a member of the Georgia Professional Lobbyists Association, a frequent contributor on CNN, NPR and MSNBC
