Barrett Thornhill is a partner at Forbes Tate and advises life sciences companies on legislative issues before the U.S. Congress and on regulatory matters before the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Barrett’s health care focus includes developing thematic and product-specific strategies in the arenas of chronic and infectious diseases, oncology, niche and orphan therapeutics, as well as value-based business models and market management. Before joining the firm he served in similar roles as a Principal at the McManus Group and Partner at the East End Group. He started his career on Capitol Hill, serving as a Healthcare Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID), handling the Finance Committee portfolio and prior as a Legislative Assistant for then-Rep. Patrick Toomey (R-PA) and the late Rep. Charlie Norwood (R-GA). Barrett received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
