An Inside Look at the Motion Picture Association with Alicia Leahy

This week we speak with Alicia Leahy, the Vice President for Federal Affairs for the Motion Picture Association ("MPA"). 

The MPA is the leading advocate of the film, television and streaming industry around the world. MPA’s members are Disney, Netflix, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal and Warner Bros. In this role she informs Members of Congress and their staff, Agency and Administration officials on issues affecting the industry, primarily in areas such as trade, copyright and tax policy.

Prior to joining the MPA, Alicia worked for more than a decade as a senior development and marketing officer for several non-profit organizations. Alicia began her career on Capitol Hill first as an intern and then as a staff member for the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. Alicia graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Political Science.
